Hello! I'm Shana and if you're here reading this, cool! I love to write and always thought I should share my random thoughts with the world in case someone else can relate. In high school I thought I would grow up to be a journalist. In case you're wondering, I'm not a journalist. ;-) Up until this moment I've only written my thoughts down for myself. Recently someone very special in my life told me a time was coming to do something different, start something new or take on a new challenge and for me to begin thinking about what this might look like in my life. I knew instantly I wanted to start a blog. Honestly, I did drag my feet a little, but finally jumped into the unknown. Bear with me as I navigate this new journey.

A little bit about me, in case you're curious. I was born in raised in Kirkland, Washington. I was my parents second family, basically raised as an only child. My siblings were 12, 14 and 15 when I was born. I don't remember them living in the house during my childhood. They were more like cool aunts and uncles that came to visit, took me shopping, spoiled me and spent holidays with us! Lol! We were all very close, though, more so as adults! In my early 20's I had my daughter and when she was 5 years old my oldest sister and I moved in together and took on raising this strong, independent, fiery girl together! We did good, by the way! In 2014 I married my husband and we bought our first home together in Olympia, Washington. After my daughter headed off to college in 2018 we moved to Grayland, Washington. I get a lot of people wondering why we would move to this small town, so before you ask it's because my husband is a commercial fisherman. In the winter he fishes out of Westport so this move gave us the opportunity to see each other more often!

And that's how I discovered that it's not always gray in Grayland! It's actually an amazing community where the sun shines more often than you'd expect!

If you made it through my first rambling, good job! More thoughts to come! Thanks for stopping by!
